Let’s clear up a confusing marketing claim: is engineered wood flooring waterproof? Absolutely not. No wood product is truly waterproof. However, some engineered wood floors are “water-resistant” for up to 30–72 hours.

 

1.True waterproof flooring: Only luxury vinyl plank (LVP), ceramic tile, or sealed concrete. Water runs off and never penetrates.

 

2.Water-resistant engineered wood flooring:

These products have a waterproof lacquer finished .Water can sit on top for a limited time, but if it seeps through a damaged joint, the wood veneer can still stain or swell.
